physiological function
-
DPP III overexpression and angiotensin II stimulation in angiotensin II type 1 receptor expressing HEK293T cells leads to a significant decrease in intracellular Ca2+
physiological function
the enzyme possesses a C-terminal extension containing an Armadillo type fold similar to the AlkD family of bacterial DNA glycosylases. The Km values for both Arg-Arg substrates are increased by 4fold when the C-terminal domain is removed. kcat values are reduced 120fold in the case of Arg-Arg-4-methylcoumarin 7-amide, and 250fold in the case of Arg-Arg-2-naphthylamide, resulting in a 470fold and 1050fold reduction in the catalytic efficiency, respectively. Complementation assays in a DNA repair-deficient Escherichia coli strain indicate the absence of alkylation repair function
