APR mRNA levels of all three isoforms increase 3fold in roots after 5 h of treatment with 150 mM NaCl. In mutants deficient in cytokinin and auxin, jasmonate, salicylate, or ethylene signaling APR mRNA levels are increased upon salt exposure similar to wild type plants, however, APR enzyme activity is not affected by salt in these plants.
