The minimum inhibitory concentration MIC of Streptothricins in the sttH gene-knockout mutant is determined to be 6.25 mg/ml, whereas the MIC of streptothricins in the Streptomyces albulus wild strain is determined to be above 400 mg/ml. This result clearly demonstrate that sttH is the sole gene responsible for streptothricin resistance in the Streptomyces albulus strain
