General Stability

EC Number General Stability Organism
3.2.1.37 coating the enzyme with aldehyde-dextran or polyethylenimine, fully stabilizes the quaternary structure of the enzyme rendering much more stabilization to the biocatalyst. The enzyme coated with polyethylenimine of molecular weight 1300 is the most stable one exhibiting an half-life of more than 10 days at pH 5.0 and 50°C, being 240fold more stable than the free enzyme Selenomonas ruminantium
