General Information

General Information Comment Organism
physiological function when Von Willebrand factor expressing H-antigen (H-VWF) from blood group O and bovine serum albumin conjugated with H-antigen (H-BSA) are incubated with recombinant alpha1-3-N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase (rA-transferase) and A-plasma and and UDP-GalNAc, both H-VWF and H-BSA acquire the A-antigen. Incubation with A-plasma very weakly converts the H-antigen on BSA and Von Willebrand factor only in the presence of supplemented UDP-GalNAc. This conversion is enhanced on desialylation of H-VWF Homo sapiens
