expression profiling of the GmITPK transcripts under different experimental conditions of drought and salinity stress. Plants treated with 200 mM NaCl, the transcript expression of GmITPK2 is maximal 1 h after treatment i.e. 7.09fold and gradually reduced to 2.82fold 8 h after treatment. A steady upregulation is observed in plants treated with 0.1 mM abscisic acid as the transcript accumulation increased gradually with time ranging from 1.0 to 14fold. In PEG-induced drought stress the transcript accumulation is maximal (6.6fold) 1 h after treatment and steadily decreases to 3.4 8 h after treatment. The transcript profiles show a higher fold change in the expression GmITPK2 alone, compared to remaining members of GmITPK gene family |
