isozyme Ace1a is predominantly expressed in different developmental stages compared to isozyme Ace1b. The relative expression level of ace1a is significantly higher than ace1b, especially at the copepodid (26fold) stage followed by preadult females (13fold). The significantly higher transcription level of ace1a suggests that it is the predominantly expressed gene in Lepeophtheirus salmonis
