General Information

EC Number General Information Comment Organism
3.5.3.11 metabolism utilization of L-arginine in Stichopus japonicus is conducted by three enzymes: nitric oxide synthase, arginase and agmatinase. Balance of the production of these three enzymes is regulated by multiple transcription factors, such as CREB, NF-kappaB/Rel and STAT5, as well as their substrate L-arginine. Stimulation of pathogen LPS disrupts this balance and subsequently influences the immune response conducted by NO Apostichopus japonicus
