Application

EC Number Application Comment Organism
1.4.1.3 analysis development of a glutamate amperometric sol-gel biosensor. A carbon paste electrode is electrochemically modified with methylene green. NADP+ and glutamate dehydrogenase are coimmobilised in a sol-gel matrix. When coupled to a flow injection system, the biosensor shosd good electrocatalytic activity towards NADPH oxidation at a potential of + 0.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl. The biosensor yields a linear response from 50 microM to 10 mM glutamate, with a detection limit of 5 microM and reproducibility of results better than 2.3% Bos taurus
