3.2.1.102 additional information hydrolyzes linear N-acetyllactosamine repeating structures in glycolipids and glycopeptides to release oligosaccharides. Branched lactosaminyl glycolipids and H-antigenic glycolipids are resistant to endo-beta-galactosidase DII, even when linear structure is present at the inner part. The enzyme releases mostly small oligosaccharides from substrates, stepwise release from the nonreducing terminal. No degradation of keratan sulfate Streptococcus pneumoniae ?
