Application

Application Comment Organism
medicine alpha-sarcin inhibits growth of tumors by inhibition of protein synthesis, protein induces apoptosis in tumor cells after internalization via endocytosis, alpha-sarcin is cytotoxic for normal human cells and for many tumor cell lines, particulary sarcoma and carcinoma, it shows a selective, high level of toxicity against cells with altered or damaged cell membranes, it is a promising candidate for the treatment of cancer and viral infections such as AIDS Aspergillus giganteus
