Expression

Organism Comment Expression
Stevia rebaudiana expression of genes encoding 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate synthase (DXS), 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate reductoisomerase (DXR) and 2-C-methyl-D-erytrithol 2,4-cyclodiphosphate synthase (MDS) is upregulated in plants inoculated with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Presence of Zn and Mn is required from the expresssion of MDS, their enhanced uptake in inoculated plants could be responsible for the increased transcription of MDS. up
