Other compounds such as sodium pyruvate, 2-oxoglutaric acid, 2-oxobutyric acid, oxalacetic acid, oxalic acid, formic acid, citric acid,glycolic acid, succinic acid, acetic acid, tartaric acid and salicylic acid do not form the fluorescent species.
