Inhibitors Comment Organism Structure
Spink6 i.e. serine protease inhibitor Kazal type 6. Selective inhibitor of kallikreins in the skin. Spink6 possesses only one typical Kazal domain. Its mRNA is expressed at low levels in several tissues and is induced during keratinocyte differentiation. Spink6 is expressed in the stratum granulosum of human skin at various anatomical localisations and in the skin appendages, including sebaceous glands and sweat glands. Spink6 expression is decreased in lesions of atopic dermatitis. Recombinant SPINK6 is inhibitory for KLK5, KLK7 and KLK14 Homo sapiens
