Activating Compound

Activating Compound Comment Organism Structure
(S)-6-(3-cyclopentyl-2-[4-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-imidazol-1-yl]propanamido)nicotinic acid in the presence of liver-specific GKA, progress curves at 1 mM glucose are similar to those at 5 mM, reflecting activation of GK. With steady-state kinetic methods it is shown that there are at least two kinetically distinct forms of glucokinase that interconvert through a slow conformational change and that this interconversion is affected by glucose concentration and a liver-specific GKA Homo sapiens
