additional information the enzyme complex shows strong activity on single-stranded oligo 6 T (containing GGACT), much reduced activities on 4 T (containing GGAGT) and 4B (AGACT), and no activity on oligos having two substitutions within the recognition, e.g. 6B (AGAGT) or 5 T and 5B (GGATC). Furthermore, the enzyme complex has no activity on an oligo-containing G and C only and no activity on A-containing oligos without matching consensus sequence. The enzyme complex acts on single-stranded DNA (6 T) faster than that on the corresponding single-stranded RNA and is inactive on double-stranded DNA or RNA/DNA hybrid Homo sapiens ?
