Inhibitors Comment Organism Structure
lactoferrin bovine lactoferrin binds to and inhibits COMT using its N-terminal region. A fragment of the lactoferrin N-terminal residues 6-50, with two pairs of disulfide bonds, shows higher inhibitory activity than intact lactoferrin. Lactoferrin does not compete with S-adenosylmethionine. COMT activity in the cell extracts form Caco-2 and HepG2 cells is inhibited by lactoferrin and the N-terminal fragment Homo sapiens
