additional information enzyme blocks aggregation induced by collagen on washed blood platelets in a rather weak manner, it does not inhibit platelet aggregation induced by ADP on platelet-rich plasma. The enzyme displays in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (MIC/MBC of 0.39 microg/ml) and in vitro leishmanicidal action against Leishmania amazonensis and L. chagasi (IC50 values of 0.14 and 0.039 microg/ml, respectively).
