additional information the enzyme in the natural host contains a covalent modification, probably an intrachain cross-link involving a residue in the 52-55 region and a residue in the 215-223 region. A tyrosine-histidine cross-link appears possible, and can account for EPR differences between the native and recombinant enzymes as well as the spectrophotometric titration of the native enzyme Ideonella dechloratans
