physiological function | tissue kallikrein promotes cell migration and proliferation of HaCaT keratinocytes in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. Active TK stimulates keratinocyte migration independent of kinin, kinin B2 receptor and NO formation. Tissue kallikrein-induced keratinocyte migration is dependent on PAR1 activation and EGFR phosphorylation. Local application of tissue kallikrein promotes skin wound healing.
