heating APDkam589 (600 µg/ml) at 70°C for 1 h lead to an increase in the specific activity to 20-22 U/mg. Further heating of the enzyme preparation does not lead to an increase of the activity. After cooling to room temperature the resulting enzyme activity is retained within 12 h. Apparently, the heating of the protein switches it to a more active conformation Desulfurococcus amylolyticus
