Activating Compound

Activating Compound Comment Organism Structure
4-nitrophenyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside at low and intermediate temperatures (from 25°C to 50°C), the enzyme displays an inhibition by excess substrate and at high temperature (70 and 80°C) an activation, for 4-nitrophenyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside as substrate Saccharolobus solfataricus
additional information this enzyme appears to be activated by pressure between atmospheric pressure and 2.5 kbar with a maximal activity at 1.25 kbar. However, this enzyme still displayed the best catalytic efficiency at atmospheric pressure because of a Km value drastically increased by pressure Saccharolobus solfataricus
