PIP5K2 genes are amplified from a whole human brain marathon-ready cDNA library using gene-specific primers. Recombinant protein is expressed from Escherichia coli harbouring PIP5K2s in pET-32a. PCR products are cloned, via incorporated HindIII and BamHI restriction sites, into appropriate plasmid vectors.
