Significant evidence of association of DLD with Alzheimer's disease. Combining the linkage and association study results for DLD together, leads to a p-value that is more significant than any of the individual p-value results for DLD. Only with sufficiently large sample sizes it is possible to rule out whether the DLD gene is in fact associated with Alzheimer’s disease Homo sapiens
