The recombinant enzyme from ginger (Zingiber zerumbet) gives 62.6% beta-eudesmol, 16.8% 10-epi-gamma-eudesmol (cf. EC 4.2.3.84, 10-epi-gamma-eudesmol synthase), 10% alpha-eudesmol (cf. EC 4.2.3.85, alpha-eudesmol synthase), and 5.6% aristolene.
