LITERATURE
glycerol, sucrose and adenosine triphosphate are effective folding aids, refolding buffer consists of 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 5 mM dithiothreitol, 0.32 mM urea and an additive at a predetermined concentration, such as glycerol (3.2 M), sucrose (1 M), arginine (1 M), glycine (1 M), acetamide (1 M), and ATP (2 mM), refolding at low temperature (4C) enhances the refolding yield of the homodimeric enzyme. Artificial chaperone-assisted refolding buffer consists of 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 5 mM dithiothreitol, 0.32 M urea, 1.2 (or 0.6) mM cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, and 4.8 mM beta-cyclodextrin.
